The last of the Lochaber Athletic Club Junior Winter League races took place on Tuesday evening at Achintee – a change of venue and time due to the snowy/ icy conditions on the forest tracks. On a cold but nice evening following a lovely sunny day, Calum Fraser U15 and Innes Blackhall U13 raced neck and neck all the way, crossing the finish line together. In the Under 11 event Ewan Maclean and Stephen Dent had a similar battle with just 1 second apart at the finish. Under 11 girl Chloe MacDonald from Invergarry ran fantastically to finish just behind the boys, winning her 2nd winter league race but she just never completed quite enough races to complete the league.
Everyone was extremely grateful to Achintee Inn which opened its doors with a lovely warm firefor the presentation afterwards, were all the athletes were presented with their trophies/ medals and specially printed Buffs from OFFBEAT BIKES.
